Horrible (Ceramic) Histories
A Mud Club Special Event
All new Classes
Travel through time this Feb Half-Term with the Wedge crew.
Based on the Classic TV series we will be exploring ceramics through the lens of history. We’ve mixed things up a bit this year and are offering two whole new classes!
Cut-Throat Celts
Ready to throw yourself into the ancient world of the Celts? Join our Horrible Histories-inspired pottery class, where you'll make your own creations just like the Celts did – minus the ancient mud pits and wild costumes (unless you want to, of course!).
In this hands-on workshop, you'll:
✨ Learn ancient techniques – Discover how the Celts used clay for tools, pots, and even burial urns!
🔥 Get creative – Channel your inner Celt and create a unique piece of pottery with your hands. No wheel required!
👑 Embrace your inner warrior – We'll throw in a little Horrible Histories-style fun and share some epic, (often gruesome) tales of Celtic history.
Whether you're a pottery pro or a complete beginner, this class is perfect for anyone who wants to get crafty while having a laugh! Don’t miss out on making something that could survive thousands of years—unlike those poor, unfortunate Romans!
Savage Stone Age
Ready to go full Savage Stone Age? Step back in time and channel your inner caveman or cavewoman in this hands-on pottery class, inspired by the hilariously gruesome Horrible Histories!
In this prehistoric workshop, you’ll:
🪓 Craft like a Stone Age pro – Learn how our ancient ancestors made basic tools, pots, and weapons using nothing but stone and clay (don’t worry, we’ll leave the actual rocks behind for modern methods!).
🔥 Get messy – It’s time to get dirty! No fancy tools, just your hands, clay, and the same spirit that fueled early humans.
🦖 Discover savage stories – Get a taste of the gruesome, wild, and totally savage history of the Stone Age with Horrible Histories-style fun facts and tales.
Whether you’ve got a flair for creating or just want to see if you can make something that’ll last longer than a caveman’s dinner (it was probably pretty quick, right?), this class is perfect for all ages. Don’t miss out on your chance to make something truly prehistoric!
